This 10″ Ceramic Hone is an excellent maintenance tool to be used on a regular basis between sharpenings. Its purpose is to align the blade’s edge and increase cutting efficiency. Ceramic is very gentle on the blade’s edge and will keep it razor sharp. We recommend purchasing the superaser to clean any metal residue buildup.
